OMARI BANKS

This Weeks Star Warrior who brought the SunLight with him from Anguilla is Omari Banks!

Absolutely Breath Taking! Omari Banks UK Album Launch & Live Concert in London on Friday 7th April 2017 was a success.

Taking place at the Nottinghill Arts Club, a warm and intimate setting, the Anguillian born Reggae star really drew a cheerful, friendly and sentimental crowd. Each person there thrilled to know they were going to see this humble and talented spirit perform.

Reggae Britannia was undoublty impressed with the large and loyal turn out and immense support for Omari Banks.

The event, hosted by the one and only Robbo Ranx, the room was filled with humour as Mr Ranx amused the anxious crowd. Suddenly females from each corner of the room ran towards the front of the stage once Robbo Ranx mentioned that the Reggae Star would soon be gracing the stage. It was a sight to be seen.

The venue erupted as Omari sang Reggae Summertime, bringing forth the essence of a beautiful UK Summers Day and the joyful feeling was enchanted when he sang his Album title track Sunlight.omari banks

The militant and religious side of Omari Banks was conveyed with the performance of his thought provoking, conscious and bass skanking hit song Jehovah Message. The percussions and bongo african drums adding a traditional rootical feel.

The ladies were soon charmed again and in full swinging motion with the Lovers Rock single Moving On, performed so exquisitely with Omari playing the sweet leading guitar.

Two personal favourites of Reggae Britannia and wonderfully performed by Omari Banks and the Soul Rebel Band was O’ Africa and System Set, originally featuring Duane Stephenson. Very heartfelt and Omari’s sincere vocals brought both reggae roots songs alive.omari bank

It was hit song Naturally however that had the Nottinghill Arts Club rocking and beaming across London Town! The ladies were screaming at the top of their voices and each gentlemen in sight grooving to this beautiful song! Everyone in sight had a smile on their faces as the sweet reggae vibes manifested. Omari’s magical fingers played lead guitar as he sang the lovely lyric’s so naturally.
But one performance of this song was not enough. Omari was asked by host Robbo Ranx to re-grace the stage and performed Naturally acoustic style with all in sight craving for more.omari banks

A meet and greet session was held for all fans to congratulate the Reggae Star in person. Fans included Laura Mvula, Daddy Ernie, Seani B and the Anguilla Tourist Board.
