ADDIS PABLO

This weeks Star Warrior has to be Addis Pablo! Recently touring the UK alongside Suns of Dub, the son of the late legend, Augustus Pablo, is truly upholding reggae music. Addis Pablo, with his name inspired by Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is a true gem. He undoubtably has been working hard to maintain his fathers legacy and honourable foot-steps. Without comprise we have seen many great  tracks from Addis such as In my Fathers House, Let I Be and Road to Addis. Further collaborating with the UK home grown Randy Valentine with the single Rat Race Dub. Not only is Addis a performer in which he plays the melodica but also a producer. His attention to detail is portrayed through his music with the same effect which his father has had and deservedly he has been getting great reception for his ability. Although he has done very will and commended upon this, Addis states he a far way to go and is willing to put in the extra time and effort elevate his skills further to the highest levels. Embarking upon a further journey, Addis is also part of Suns of Dub along side the talented Ras Jammy, which is a label, group & performing dub-production team creating a unique sound. It is clear that the Suns of Dub have taken some of their inspiration from the legend Augustus Pablo, merging live instruments, and original Rockers Reggae Sounds with a new age dub style and innovative ideas. Addis attributes his success to his beliefs in the Principles of his Father’s Spiritual Religious upbringing and through the teachings of His Imperial Majesty Haile Sellasie King Of Ethiopia. We wish Addis every success in his musical journey and truly believe his is a legend in the making.
