UK Theatre vs French Reggae Band

00

A 60 year old Man claimed his birthday was ruined on Wednesday 28th October 2015 allegedly because of a Reggae Band. Jonathan Moxey decided to celebrated his 60th birthday by watching King Charles III, one of the year’s biggest UK theatre shows on tour at The Marlowe in Canterbury.

But Mr Moxey stated his birthday was spoilt as the show was drowned out by The Banyans, the French Band, whose Music was coming from next door. Whilst the main stage was hosting the West End production of King Charles III, the studio was hosting The Banyans who seemed to cause some upset.

Mr Moxey told reporters the noise left the audience, “struggling to make out what was going on… It sounded like a car stereo playing too loud – THUMP, THUMP, THUMPETY THUMP! Several members of the audience were disturbed, and there were looks of dismay going around… The evening, for us, was spoiled completely and we are not inclined to chance booking any further shows if there is a chance this could happen again.”

The director of the Marlowe Theatre, Mark Everett, in response stated that the problem with the sound leakage between their two venues was rare, but admitted the incident had made them rethink which shows they schedule to appear on the same night.
